Deep Ocean began as a personal project, born out of my love and fascination for sea creatures. As I delved deeper into this project, it became a dedication to these incredible beings, and a way to raise awareness about the damage that humans inflict upon their habitats.
Our planet is currently suffering due to the negative impact of human behavior, and unfortunately, the ocean world has been suffering in silence for far too long. It’s disheartening to see that many countries still practice the poaching of whales, dolphins, seals, and killer whales for their meat and fins, with no regard for international laws protecting endangered species.
Through my illustrations, I aim to showcase the vital spirit of sea creatures. I use warm colors to bring out their beauty and contrast them against the dark blue, often murky waters in which they live. These waters are also the hunting grounds for humans who seek to capture and sell these magnificent creatures to the black market.
As my project continues to grow, I hope to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the ocean’s fragile ecosystems and the creatures that call it home. Every illustration serves as a reminder of the beauty that lies beneath the surface, and the urgent need to protect it for future generations.
